Lil update n°1

I wanted to post a little update to let you guys know what’s going on currently behind the scenes. The game development is going well, I took a little time off after releasing the first demo version, I then fixed some bugs here and there, and here I am now. The hard mode will be finished soon, I am creating the stage 6 boss’ spellcards currently. Porting those stages and bosses to the chill and overdrive mode won’t be too hard, it takes me at least one hour per stage, 30 minutes if I’m not too tired.

For the extra stage, named “Canvas Stage”, it will be released with the game day one and you’ll be able to play it after finishing the main story, no need for clearing the game without continues.

Just know that some game mechanics changed quite a bit, the player spell cards system has been reworked quite a bit to make it easier to use. The bloom gauge takes much longer to fill but is much more rewarding, it does a lot more damage and a bit more score bonus.

For the difficulty balancing, just know that the game is harder than Touhou or Len’en in general, but I hope, still fair.

I have a lot of bugs to fix and things to add, mainly visual stuff, but do not be alarmed, the development is going smoothly and everything is alright. I probably won’t be able to work on the game the next month, or a lot less than usual because of high-school stuff. I aim at a full release near late October. But that’s more like a self-assign deadline for the main game, I’ll most likely have a lot of bugs to fix after that. I hope I will be able to release the game before 2023.

And before you ask, yes, Myara 2 is already in my head, I know what the game genre will be (spoiler: not a danmaku) and a lil bit of the story!
